My oldest daughter came in the other night asking for a flashlight. When I asked her what she needed one for, she told me she heard kittens back in the brush pile behind the shed. The same brush pile we found Alice & her kittens in. She came back in later with no luck. So today, Will, Madison & I went to have another look. All Will found was a box turtle, which the kids immediately claimed (poor turtle). It is a female & they have named her Esmey. Madison got all excited & started screeching that she saw kittens. We had to move some of the brush & she leaned down in & grabbed them one by one. There were four in all, giving us a grand total of 23 cats & kittens.

We also got in our order of Broadbreasted bronze turkeys on Friday. They are very pretty & have a different sort of chirp than the baby chicks. They keep trying to escape though. Maybe they know what is in store for them!
