We would like to thank Turkey Lurkey for volunteering, kind of, to be our Easter Sunday dinner. We enjoyed watching you grow & gobble in your pen. When you first came to our home, we had no idea what a birdzilla you would turn into, but we are thankful that you grew big enough to provide a few meals for our large family!

Scalding you was a tough job, we had to use a metal trash bin over an open fire so you would fit. Plucking you had to be done by hand, because when you were deposited into the plucker, it would not move. It was an easy job, though. Far easier than plucking a chicken by hand. After all was said & done, you weighed in at 45lbs. I am sure you will be super tasty!
