It’s That Time Again!

By Jaime Cross

Well folks, it’s that time again. We have been out most of the day planting. And from last year’s experience, we know that gardening & me do not mix. I am hoping to have better luck this year & keep my good eye, haha. We got a few things planted today: potatoes, zucchini, tomatoes, sweet peppers, onions, cabbage, navy beans, black-eye peas & lettuce. We still have peas, carrots & strawberries to go. Not to mention all the sweet corn & feed corn. My back is killing me!

I am not sure if I plan to plant anything else. I guess if something else comes along & strikes my fancy it will go in. We have a pretty big garden. Including the area where we plant our feed corn, I would say it is about an acre & a half to two acres. I got quite a few things out of it last year, although it went to the weeds because of my eye problems. Here is to hoping this year I get way more!
