March is Here
Hello, everyone. I can’t believe March is here already! We have been having some nicer weather, but today it is rainy & cold. We have been busy getting the farm ready for spring. We have an order in for new golden comet chickens, Pekin ducks, toulouse geese, cornish hens & rabbits. We are building a new bigger enclosure for the ducks, geese & rabbits. For now, our current 2 ducks are housed in what was the turkey pen (we ate all our turkeys). They are liking set up & can be seen all the time swimming in their wading pool. They are also brooding a nest of eggs.
We are going to be raising rabbits for meat this year, so we went tou & got the kids 2 rabbits for pets. We figured if they have 2 to keep they won’t raise a big fuss when the meat rabbits come in. There is a black bunny named Raven & a blackish/brown bunny named Fudge. They are really tame & let the kids hold them. I am sure they are going to get irritated with the kids before long though
