Sad Endings, New Beginings
Yesterday was a sad day here at our farm. My Tennessee Walker, Fancy, died. She got sick over the winter & there was nothing more we could do for her but make her comfortable. I will always remember how she would whinny when I would go out to the pasture to see her & the other horses. She will be missed.
Today brought us some new animals. A friend of ours had an African goose he got from a friend & asked us if we wanted to add to our collection. I said yes, of course. He also had a couple of ferrets & offered those as well, which I also took.
The goose’s name is Honker, because that is what he has been doing since he got here. He is sharing the pen with our 2 ducks, Polly & Waddle, at the moment.
The ferrets are Roxanne & Slinky. Roxanne is older & is going blind so we moved her from the 2 story cage to her own cage. Slinky is white & deaf. She will be sharing the 2 story cage with our other ferret, Meeko.
