We raised our own food for years, and the crap they sell at the supermarket is about as tasty as sawdust, in comparison! The taste of the eggs alone makes raising your own chickens worthwhile. She has more geese on order too, so they should arrive before long as well. The turkeys and cornish hens we have coming won't be here until around May.
