Happy Thanksgiving
It has been a busy last few weeks here at the farm. We have been getting ready for the Thanksgiving holiday & a visit from Chris, Will’s brother. Chris stayed from Fri Nov 20 until Sunday Nov 22. It was nice to see him, as we had not seen him in two years. Will put him to work painting posts for our new fence. We are in the process of fencing in the entire front yard for the kids & dogs. It will look really nice once it is finished.
Will’s mother, Barbara, is spending the Thanksgiving holiday with us. She drove here from North Carolina to visit & to meet the children. It has been a nice visit so far.
We bought 36 Golden Comets hens & 3 GC roosters last week. We also traded 3 piglets for a new billy goat. His name is Buddy & I think he is so cute. We bought 14 guinea hens too. They are babies right now & we have them penned up. As soon as spring/summer gets here, we will set them loose in the yard to eat all the ticks.
I also have been asking Will to build a divider wall/bar to separate the living room from the kitchen. He finished that up on Monday & installed it yesterday morning.
