New hatchings and kids gone wild!

By William Cross

Well, our first stab at incubating is coming to fruition as of this morning. The first chicks started breaking out of their shells and all the kids just had to watch. The look on their little faces was comical at times, and inspired a feeling of pride at others.

Since the first pieces breaking off the first egg, they have been back at the incubator regularly making sure they don’t miss much, if any, of the hatching process. Their disappointment was evident tho when we told them they could not handle the new chicks at all until tomorrow.

New events and new experiences are always a welcome thing around here. It always brings joy and a sense of doing to all of us.

On another note, we are supposed to be able to pick up the 2 real sized horses this coming weekend, 2 new goats, already milking, and a couple cow calves.
